Sur curls around a lagoon where wooden dhows have been launched for a thousand years. Whitewashed lanes, watchtowers, the Bilad Sur Castle, the Al Ayjah lighthouse walk, and a corniche made for slow evenings. The proper overnight stop before or after Ras Al Jinz.
