The default beach camp on the Sur road, 1.5 to 2 hrs from Muscat, any car, free. No facilities at all: bring water, shade, food and a bag for your rubbish.

How to get to Fins Beach
- Coast road from Muscat toward Sur, 1.5 to 2 hrs, near Fins village.
- In a 2WD park further back where the ground is firm, it's easy to get stuck.
- Drive the sand slowly.
What you'll do
- Swim, then find a spot for the evening, camping on the sand is normal and legal here.
- Watch the sun drop behind the Hajar. That's the show.
- Bring everything: water, shade, food. There are no facilities at all.
- Take your rubbish home with you. Every bit of it.
