The Mutrah ridge treks
Real mountain trails that start where the city parking ends.
Muscat is one of the few capitals where marked treks leave from the corniche: the C38 climbs from Riyam to the ridgeline above Mutrah harbour, and its sister paths (Sidab coastal, the Geotrek) thread the same bare hills. Two hours, city shoes optional, views you'd fly for.

How to get to The Mutrah ridge treks
- Park at Riyam Park on the Mutrah corniche.
- The C38 trailhead is signposted behind the park, yellow-red-yellow waymarks.
- Finish in Mutrah and walk the corniche back to the car.

- Climb out of the palms into bare rock ridges in about twenty minutes.
- Top out with the whole harbour, the forts and the ocean below you.
- Descend into the old town and reward yourself in the souq.
