Where Muscat actually shops, fish, dates and zero tourists.
A working local souq on the Seeb waterfront: the morning fish auction, dates by the kilo, abayas and kummas. Nothing here is staged for visitors, that's the point.

How to get to Seeb Souq
- On the Seeb corniche, 25 min from central Muscat.
- Park along the waterfront.
- The souq runs back from the fish market.
What you'll do
- Start at the fish market early, the auction is loud, fast and completely real.
- Then the covered lanes: dates by the kilo at half the tourist-shop price.
- Kummas, abayas, household stalls.
- This is shopping the way Muscat actually does it. Halwa from the halwa shops, dates and tahini from Al Sharaa.
