Wadi Al Arbeieen
One of the best wadis for photoshoots in all of Oman.
Less famous than Shab and it shows, you'll have whole pools to yourself. The catch is the approach: a graded gravel track through a mountain pass, then real bouldering over giant white rocks. It's a workout, and it's brilliant.
| Difficulty | Hard-ish, lots of bouldering |
|---|---|
| Time needed | 5–6 hrs of daylight minimum |
| Hike | 2–2.5 hrs each way |
| Swim | Yes, deep pools, jumps for the brave |
| Vehicle | 4×4 strongly recommended (10km graded gravel + water crossings) |
| Best season | Oct–Apr |
| Entry fee | Free |
