Wadi Al Khoudh
Muscat's own wadi, one of the closest to drive to.
The wadi everyone in Muscat drives over and almost nobody drives into. After rain, the whole city comes to watch it flow. It's special for the locals, who combine it with tea, or grilling sometimes, while they enjoy the weather.

How to get to Wadi Al Khoudh
- Minutes from Al Khoud village: through the mountains, past the village, park at the lot if you're in a 2WD.
- Experienced 4×4 drivers can carry on up the wadi bed, carefully.

- Walk the valley and the mountains around it.
- Do it like the locals: bring lunch or a grill and tea, and make an afternoon of it.
- Best just after mild rain, when the wadi actually flows.
